What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Markets/M&A Associate position at Interlink Talent Solutions?
My client is an Am Law 100 firm who is seeking a mid-level Capital Markets / M&A Associate to join a busy Corporate M&A and Securities practice based in Washington, D.C or New York. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners on a wide range of capital markets transactions and public company advisory work, alongside domestic and international clients. Associates joining the team will gain exposure to public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, ongoing SEC reporting and compliance, and transactional M&A matters for both public and private companies.
Responsibilities:
- Represent issuers in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities
- Advise public companies on SEC disclosure, corporate governance, and stock exchange compliance matters
- Prepare and review Exchange Act filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements
- Support clients on ongoing public company reporting and regulatory compliance obligations
- Interface with the SEC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
- Assist on public and private company M&A transactions, including due diligence and transaction documents
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external advisors to manage transaction timelines
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships through effective communication and commercial judgment
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of relevant capital markets and securities law experience
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed, or eligible to become licensed, in Washington, D.C or New York
- Experience advising issuers on public and private securities offerings required
- Experience with public company reporting and SEC compliance strongly preferred
- Prior exposure to public and private company M&A transactions is a strong plus
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage client relationships with professionalism and sound business judgment
- Large regional, national, or international law firm experience preferred
