A nationally recognised AmLaw 100 firm with a sophisticated, multidisciplinary Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice is seeking a Benefits & Compensation Associate to join its New York office. The group is highly integrated across corporate, tax, labor & employment, healthcare, and ERISA litigation practices, advising employers and in-house teams on complex, high-value benefits and compensation matters driven by evolving regulatory and transactional developments.
Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on health & welfare plans, 401(k), retirement, and employee benefits matters
- Counsel clients on evolving statutory and regulatory compliance requirements
- Work closely with corporate, labor & employment, tax, ERISA litigation, and healthcare teams
- Partner directly with in-house counsel and HR professionals on benefits and compensation issues
- Support complex executive compensation and employee benefits matters across a broad client base
Qualifications:
- Strong academics are prioritised with JD from an ABA-accredited law school necessary
- 4 years of benefits and compensation experience in a similar law firm or consulting environment
- Strong analytical, communication, and client service skills
- Admission (or eligibility for admission) in New York
Benefits:
- Above market compensation: $255,000β$375,000 plus bonus eligibility
