What Does a Personal Care Aide Do?
As a Personal Care Aide, you’ll provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Duties may include:
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Assisting with shopping and everyday activities
- Supporting clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence
Scheduling Requirement: Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday is required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Six months experience in a comparable care aide job, current CNA license or completed first semester of nursing school
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and own reliable transportation
- Two professional references
- Successful completion of a background check
- Current CPR certification preferred, but not required
