What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Needed 4-8 hour Shifts position at Interim HealthCare - Santa Rosa, CA?
Interim HealthCare of Sonoma County is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to provide ongoing, non-medical in-home support to a wonderful gentleman in Santa Rosa. He likes companionship but also values his independence. This role is perfect for someone looking to supplement their current schedule or earn extra weekend income while making a real difference in someone’s life.
Schedule:
- Monday: 3pm-7pm
- Wednesday: 3pm-7pm
- Saturday: 3pm-7pm or 11am-7pm (shifts will rotate during the month depending on daughters schedule)
Responsibilities:
- Exercise reminders and encouraging walks
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Support with light housekeeping
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for day of and following day
- Help maintain care of his two beloved cats
- Standby assist to ensure steadiness when mobile, especially when entering and exiting shower (but don't hover)
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation to appointments (if needed)
- Ensure a safe and comfortable home environment
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal) preferred
- Current Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or willingness to obtain
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to get certified)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background check and provide references
