- Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the site-wide quality control program for sawmill and planer operations.
- Optimization: Manage and utilize production systems to maximize lumber value, grade, and recovery.
- Compliance: Ensure all products meet company specifications and regulatory standards through audits and documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and grading agency staff to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on quality control activities and key performance indicators.
- Safety-Focused: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
- Analytical: Possess advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, and statistical analysis skills.
- Technical: Proficient in optimization technology, scanner calibration, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced: Hold a minimum high school diploma and 3–5 years of relevant quality control experience in lumber manufacturing.
- Collaborative: Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with proven leadership in team environments.
