Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, matching against purchase orders, and taking care of all inquiries received from suppliers, colleagues and management in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
- Process high volumes of invoices accurately and on time
- Spot and escalate discrepancies, and flag quantity, pricing, and tax issues to reduce risk
- Support invoice validations, reconciliations, and ad hoc month-end close activities
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Receiving teams to resolve PO issues when arise
- Build strong vendor relationships and assist with payment inquiries
- Embrace new tech tools to drive automation and efficiency in AP
- Promote a positive experience for all internal and external stakeholders
- Stay on top of fraud prevention, vendor verification, and compliance standards
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
- 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- SAP and Concur experience a plus
- Great communication and organizational skills
- A mindset focused on accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
