About the Company
Our client, one of the nation’s top builders is actively seeking experienced MEP Technical Managers, Superintendents, and Senior Superintendents to support complex, high-profile commercial and industrial construction projects across multiple markets, including Chicago, Illinois; Columbia, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will lead trade partners and subcontractors in the field, drive productivity among craft labor, and serve as a key on-site leader throughout the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating MEP activities, leading contractor meetings, overseeing jobsite logistics, maintaining project documentation and daily reports, enforcing safety protocols, and proactively identifying constructability or schedule impacts. This role will also support project execution planning, participate in buyout and scope reviews, assist with change management and Time & Materials tracking, and ensure successful coordination between field teams, project management, and ownership groups.
Candidates should have strong experience leading field operations on large vertical construction projects and proven success managing subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and safety initiatives. Experience driving field productivity is critical for this role. While strong MEP coordination experience is preferred, candidates with extensive Superintendent experience and several years of MEP exposure will also be considered.
Additional responsibilities include mentoring and developing junior field staff, supporting a positive and inclusive team environment, building long-term client and partner relationships, and collaborating closely with operational and business leadership teams to support successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 7 years of construction experience leading large commercial or industrial projects valued at $25M
- Strong Superintendent or field leadership experience within a General Contractor environment preferred
- Proven ability managing subcontractors, schedules, logistics, and safety compliance
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Experience with scheduling and construction management software
- Proven safety record and ability to lead field teams in fast-paced environments
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting large vertical construction projects
- Strong MEP coordination and technical knowledge
- Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification preferred
- Background with complex commercial, mission critical, healthcare, industrial, or large-scale vertical builds preferred
Salary range is dependent on position and experience.
Salary : $120,000 - $220,000
