Director of Sales (HVAC Industry)
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and directing sales activities within the divisions. The primary purpose of this position is to achieve revenue through effective leadership and ensure maximum sales. The Director of Sales will develop a strong team of Regional Sales Representatives who can lead sales efforts in their regions. Regular travel between AZ, NV, and UT is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent the organization as a leader in the industry and ensure maximum sales and profitability.
- Directly manage sales activities for Regional Sales Representatives.
- Secure maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs.
- Develop market strategies and solicit new accounts and dealers.
- Establish targets for direct reports and provide clear direction to ensure goals are met.
- Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, incentive trips, and similar functions.
- Attend training as needed to stay current on customer needs, technical developments, and product changes.
- Assist in resolving customer relations issues with dealers and end users.
- Oversee the quality of customer service provided to dealers.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and threats to the business.
- Travel with each Regional Sales Representative to support division goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of progressive senior-level sales leadership experience with demonstrated results.
- Experience in HVAC wholesale distribution preferred, but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience working with residential and commercial contractors.
- Proven success in managing and mentoring sales employees while setting goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and market data and provide real-time solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to travel within the division up to 80% of the time.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English to comply with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
