Position Overview
A leading national organization is seeking an experienced Event Project Manager (Contract) to support a high-performing marketing and events team. This role will manage the planning and execution of strategic corporate events that support brand engagement, client relationships, and business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented project manager with strong event operations experience, capable of managing multiple programs simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
This is a contract opportunity supporting a dynamic marketing organization responsible for delivering high-impact live and hybrid events across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the project manager for assigned corporate event programs, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute events from concept through completion.
- Manage operational components of events including:
- Venue sourcing and management
- Hotel and travel coordination
- Production and audio/visual services
- Food and beverage planning
- Vendor and contractor management
- Temporary event staffing
- Transportation logistics
- Accessibility and safety requirements
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Support the delivery of client-facing marketing and hospitality events, ensuring a high-quality attendee experience.
- Identify potential risks and proactively resolve operational challenges to ensure seamless event execution.
- Ensure all event activities comply with applicable industry regulations and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of experience planning and executing live events in a corporate environment or agency setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex events with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, adapt quickly, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience supporting marketing or client-facing events, including hospitality or field marketing initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
- Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)
- Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM)
- Experience working with large-scale corporate conferences, client engagement events, or brand activations.
