We are seeking a skilled attorney with 5–10 years of experience to provide commercial transactional real estate support. This individual will work closely with a team of experienced legal professionals and business stakeholders to support a diverse property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, including contract drafting, negotiation, title analysis, and survey review
- Conduct title examination and legal research related to property ownership and rights
- Draft and negotiate commercial leases, licenses, easements, and related agreements
- Handle third-party property matters and disputes involving commercial entities, government agencies, railroads, and private parties
- Support cross-functional initiatives impacting real estate assets and property strategy
- Perform legal research and prepare clear, high-quality legal memoranda
- Manage a high volume of transactions from inception through closing
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership and good standing with the Massachusetts Bar (additional bar admissions such as NY, NH, or VT are a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law within a law firm, corporate, or government setting
- Demonstrated experience with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and easements
- Strong proficiency in title research, land court processes, and registry of deeds
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Experience within regulated industries such as energy or utilities
- Primarily based in Waltham, MA
- Hybrid flexibility may be offered based on demonstrated performance and ability to work independently
