In this role, you will independently manage donation and transportation projects that directly support nonprofit partners and the communities they serve. The position requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple logistics flows while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple nonprofit transportation and donation projects simultaneously.
- Schedule and track nonprofit routes in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and resolving logistics issues as they arise.
- Prepare project updates, impact reports, and monthly narratives highlighting donation stories and measurable community outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for nonprofit partners via email, instant messaging, and other channels.
- Maintain and validate project workflows in Salesforce.
- Identify, manage, and resolve logistics challenges through root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
- Analyze program metrics to demonstrate impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Occasionally participate in nonprofit events to represent the program and strengthen partner relationships.
- 85% heads-down work: Independent project management, data accuracy, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- 10% meetings: Regular check-ins with nonprofit partners, internal teams, and logistics stakeholders.
- 5% travel/community events: Occasional participation in nonprofit or partner initiatives.
- Work is performed on Eastern Standard Time (EST) to align with nonprofit and partner schedules.
- Holiday coverage required, with exceptions for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
- No extension or conversion opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of operations experience.
- 3 years of program management experience.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and commitments simultaneously.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience in supply chain management, logistics operations, or inventory systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience with nonprofit operations or corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining external partnerships.
- Attention to detail – Precision is critical in scheduling and managing donation/transportation routes to avoid downstream delivery impacts.
- Ability to work across multiple logistics flows – Flexibility to shift between different operational models (e.g., delivery partners, linehaul) as projects evolve.
- Strong communication skills – Clear, professional communication with nonprofit partners and internal teams, plus the ability to write compelling impact narratives.
