Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, exceptions, and actionable insights.
- Partner with stakeholders across compliance, risk, and operations to align analytics with business objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that track KPIs and risk indicators.
- Serve as SME for data issue remediation, ensuring accurate feeds for regulatory reporting and risk assessments.
- Apply statistical and quantitative methods to support decision-making and model development.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives) and drive workflow through Jira and Kanban boards.
- Monitor and maintain data quality, governance, and integrity, providing guidance to stakeholders on best practices.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Translate technical findings into clear, business-focused insights for non-technical audiences.
- Deliver standard and ad-hoc reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). Advanced degree in data analytics, statistics, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in a data analytics or data science role (5 years accepted in lieu of degree).
- Proven expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency with Jira, Kanban boards, SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Strong data governance awareness and experience in data remediation projects.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at maintaining accurate records.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support risk assessments and decision-making.
- Background in financial services or compliance.
- Advanced skills in Excel (macros, advanced formulas, automation).
- Experience with data governance frameworks and regulatory data environments.
- Strong track record of working with cross-functional teams and delivering results under tight deadlines.
