Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Product Test & Validation
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 12‑month Contract to start with potential extensions (W2 Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support testing, validation, and debugging of advanced consumer electronic devices. This role is strongly lab-focused and ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on electrical testing, system bring-up and troubleshooting hardware issues across multiple subsystems.
You will work closely with a small, collaborative engineering team to test prototypes, analyze failures, and support new builds through data-driven electrical validation.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute electrical test methodologies for PCBs and system-level subsystems
- Perform detailed lab testing and debugging across sensors, power, audio, battery systems, and both low- and high-speed interfaces
- Conduct ESD testing on hardware prototypes and support root-cause analysis and mitigation
- Own execution, interpretation, documentation, and reporting of electrical test and debug results
- Support system bring-up activities and factory test processes
- Develop scripts and tools to automate data collection and analysis
- Track hardware issues from discovery through resolution and clearly communicate results to cross-functional teams
- Act as a technical subject matter expert by evaluating hardware/software interactions and overall system performance
- Support rapid prototyping and iterative hardware builds under tight timelines
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
4 years of professional electrical engineering experience
Hands-on experience with electrical system testing and lab-based debug
Proven experience performing ESD testing and debugging ESD/EMC-related issues
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and system-level interactions
Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and temperature chambers
Consumer electronics product experience
Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Technical Experience (Preferred)
High-density rigid and rigid-flex PCB integration
Debug experience across SoC-based systems, sensors, wireless modules, audio, display, and standard interfaces (USB, SPI, I²C, MIPI, PCIe)
Familiarity with embedded software concepts and the ability to inspect logs or basic code
Experience with Python scripting for test automation and data analysis
Exposure to rapid prototyping and bringing up new or evolving technologies
Salary : $70 - $80
