Duties
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock placement.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders with precision using order pickers and inventory management software to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems, ensuring stock levels are correct.
- Organize and stock shelves efficiently, adhering to safety standards and trade compliance regulations for international trade when applicable.
- Assist in shipping logistics by coordinating outbound shipments, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring proper packaging for safe delivery.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to verify stock accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by loading and unloading trucks safely with pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to internal requests for inventory information or order status updates with professionalism.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order quantities, measurements, and inventory adjustments.
- Skilled in the use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred), pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and inventory tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of trade compliance and international trade regulations is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
