Utility Sr Project Engineer

Description: The client is looking for a utilities project engineer who can be responsible for end-to-end delivery, integration, and performance of utility equipment. This person will focus on the large-scale expansion project and provide technical execution for utility equipment scopes. They will be working with engineering, procurement, and construction management to execute approved scope, schedule, and budget. The contractor will be responsible for recommendations related to strategy and execution. They will be working with the team’s DVL and construction quality. Piping, E&I, and C&Q facilities to ensure system integration. This candidate will monitor vendor performance through design finalization, fabrication, FAT, delivery, and site/turnover process.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Track equipment schedule, report/resolve vendor related risks
• Ensure utilities equipment is installed per design, specs, and GMP
• Interface with construction QA/QC, safety teams to resolve field issues and NCRS
• Installation readiness reviews, system walkdowns, punch list tracking, equipment turnover
• Support C&Q Validation
• Review/approve turnover documentation
• Coordinate operations and QA to support system handover and operational readiness

Required Skills:

• 5-10 Years within Pharma/Biotech or Engineering Project Management
• Construction execution and commissioning practices
• Experience supporting C&Q in largescale greenfield expansion projects
• Manage mechanical equipment projects within GMP
• Knowledge: Utility systems (e.g., WFI, Clean Steam, HVAC, process utilities), Mechanical equipment and packages, GMP, validation, and regulatory requirements
• Pharma mechanical equipment, vendor management
• Project management software/tools
• Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus
