What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Assembly Supervisor (Switchgear) position at Intellectt Inc?
We are looking for a Production Supervisor with experience in electrical or switchgear manufacturing to lead day-to-day assembly operations. In this role, you will ensure safe, high-quality production of electrical panels, power distribution systems, and switchgear components while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise technicians/assemblers on switchgear or electrical cabinet production lines
- Ensure daily production schedules are met for wiring, busbar assembly, panel building, and testing
- Monitor material availability (breakers, relays, wiring, enclosures) and coordinate shortages with supply chain
- Quickly identify and resolve production bottlenecks, scrap issues, and downtime events
- Work closely with Engineering, Test, and Maintenance teams to maintain equipment uptime
- Track KPIs including throughput, first-pass quality, scrap, and takt adherence
- Maintain strict adherence to electrical safety, EHS policies, and quality standards (UL/ISO/NFPA)
- Conduct shift handoff communication and daily shop-floor updates
- Support Lean projects such as Kaizen events, 5S, and line balancing
🎯 Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma required; technical associate degree preferred
- 4 years experience in manufacturing operations, preferably electrical/switchgear
- Working knowledge of electrical components, schematics, and assembly diagrams
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret moderately complex instructions and production documentation
- Proficiency in performance tracking and improvement activities
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience in low/medium voltage switchgear or control panels
- Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement background
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E, UL508A, or other electrical safety standards
