Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and strong hands-on Windchill PLM configuration and implementation expertise. The role will support manufacturing process development, optimization, tooling, machining, equipment, assembly, SPC, process capability, Lean/Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. The position will also support PLM workflows, lifecycles, attributes, product data, engineering changes, and integrations with ERP, CAD, and MES systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, production layouts, tooling, equipment installation, machining, material handling, and assembly processes.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain processes supporting SPC and process capability improvement.
- Manage product data and engineering change processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Configure, implement, and support Windchill PLM solutions.
- Configure Windchill workflows, attributes, lifecycles, and integrations with ERP, CAD, and MES systems.
- Support Agile PLM processes and product data governance.
- Verify process effectiveness through testing, inspections, and validation activities.
- Develop fabrication procedures, tooling requirements, and equipment adaptations.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support PLM and manufacturing initiatives and projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4 years of relevant Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Strong Windchill PLM experience.
- Windchill configuration and implementation experience.
- Manufacturing process development and optimization experience.
- Experience with tooling, machining, equipment, and assembly processes.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge of SPC methodologies and process capability.
- Root Cause Analysis and corrective action experience.
- Manufacturing environment experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance.
- Practical project management knowledge.
- Ability to work onsite in North Haven, CT.
