Role: Senior Industrial Engineering
Location: Appleton, WI
Description: Our client is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineering Program Manager to lead Industrial Engineering teams supporting multiple manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on program delivery, Lean manufacturing, time studies, line balancing, productivity improvement, and manufacturing transformation across high-volume, high-mix environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Industrial Engineering teams supporting 4–5 manufacturing facilities.
- Manage time studies, work measurement, line balancing, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead program governance, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Perform video-based time studies and work breakdown analysis.
- Conduct line balancing using Yamazumi charts, including multi-model line balancing and level loading.
- Identify opportunities for labor optimization, automation, robotics, material flow, and digital manufacturing.
- Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity, and improve cycle time.
- Develop SOPs, work instructions, and standardized operating methods.
- Analyze labor, routing, warehouse, and inventory optimization opportunities.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reports to track program performance and business impact.
- Coordinate onsite, offshore, customer, engineering, operations, and sales teams.
- Manage risks, issues, escalations, and change across multiple projects.
- Support manufacturing transformation initiatives, including line consolidation and high-flow line implementation.
- Build strong relationships with customer leadership and identify opportunities for engagement expansion.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in Automotive, Truck, or Off-Highway manufacturing.
- Strong experience in high-volume, high-mix production environments.
- Hands-on experience with time studies, work measurement, line balancing, and Yamazumi charts.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and TQM.
- Experience with multi-model line balancing and level loading.
- Proven experience leading multi-site programs and global/onsite-offshore teams.
- Strong program governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive communication skills.
- Experience driving measurable improvements in cost, quality, productivity, labor, and cycle time.
- Strong data analysis, KPI, dashboard, and reporting capabilities.
