Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Molding Technician to support daily production operations involving injection molding, blow molding, or compression molding processes. The ideal candidate will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain molding equipment to ensure consistent product quality and efficient production performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor molding machines according to production requirements.
- Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and equipment setups.
- Diagnose and resolve basic machine issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
- Inspect molded parts using visual checks and measurement tools to verify quality standards.
- Accurately document production data, machine parameters, and material usage.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on molds and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve processes and reduce scrap.
- Provide training or support to junior operators as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical/vocational training required.
- 1–3 years of experience in molding operations (injection molding preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with molding equipment and processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Working knowledge of plastics processing, mold setup, and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work shifts or overtime as required.
