Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run injection, blow, or compression molding machines.
- Change molds, adjust machines, and prepare equipment based on the production schedule.
- Troubleshoot machine problems, make minor repairs, and report larger issues.
- Check parts with tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Record production data, machine settings, and material use accurately.
- Perform regular maintenance on molds, machines, and equipment.
- Keep the molding area clean and organized, following safety rules.
- Work with the Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Follow safety rules and report hazards or incidents.
- Help train or guide less experienced operators.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical training required.
- 1–3 years of experience as a molding technician or machine operator (injection molding preferred).
- Strong understanding of molding machines and how they work.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Basic knowledge of plastics processing and mold setup.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
- Willing to work shifts or overtime as needed.

Duties
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot plastics blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion machinery to meet production specifications.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor machinery operations, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and fabrication tools to maintain smooth workflow.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques within the warehouse environment.
- Assist in fabrication and assembly processes by utilizing hand tools and fabrication equipment to meet production requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, quality checks, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and implementing process improvements.
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced manufacturing setting to ensure timely completion of production schedules while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating plastics blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion machinery is highly preferred.
