Field Service Engineer II
Location: Hartford, CT (Local Candidates Preferred)
Travel: Up to 80% Domestic Travel
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade medical equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission medical equipment and systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Complete system upgrades and modifications.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
- Coordinate travel and manage assigned service schedules.
- Provide technical support and excellent customer service.
- Follow quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of technical equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Experience supporting medical devices, laboratory equipment, diagnostic systems, or other electromechanical equipment.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing or healthcare environment.
