Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to support manufacturing automation within a medical device production environment. The role focuses on electrical controls, PLC programming, equipment validation, automation improvements, and troubleshooting of high-speed manufacturing systems. The selected candidate will lead equipment upgrades, support new automation projects, improve manufacturing efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and compliant production processes.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Electromechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with PLC platforms including GuardLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix.
- Experience with FactoryTalk ME/SE HMI development and Vision Inspection systems such as Cognex and Keyence.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting servo and stepper motion control systems.
- Experience supporting automated assembly and packaging equipment.
- Experience writing FAT, SAT, Installation Qualification (IQ), operating procedures, electrical schematics, specifications, and software backups.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Machine Risk Assessments, CTQ processes, equipment validation, supplier qualification, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
