The Opportunity
The General Manager is the on-site leader, responsible for all aspects of the hotel's operation, including guest relations, financial performance, team management, and maintaining property standards. This is a critical role that drives the hotel's success and reputation within the Lantana community and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Revenue Management: Achieve and exceed budgeted goals in RevPAR, GOP, and other financial metrics. Manage all hotel expenses and capital expenditures.
- Guest Experience: Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction (GSS/OSAT) by overseeing all hotel services and effectively resolving any guest concerns. Champion a "Guest First" culture.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate all department heads and hotel associates. Foster a positive, productive, and engaging work environment.
- Operations & Property Management: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety throughout the property. Ensure compliance with all brand standards and local regulations.
- Sales & Marketing: Work with the sales team to develop and execute strategies to maximize market share and drive top-line revenue.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a comparable hotel setting (e.g., Select Service or Full Service).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Proven Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team.
- Customer-Focused: A dedication to delivering outstanding guest service.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and standard office software.
