Whether you're a recent graduate or have up to two years of experience, you'll play an important role in delivering impactful land development projects. What You’ll Do
As a Junior Civil Engineer at IFS, you'll get the chance to:
- Assist with site evaluations, schematic designs, and design documentation for a range of land development projects.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to perform design tasks related to site layouts, grading, stormwater systems, and utilities.
- Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other team members on both private-sector and federal projects.
- Help manage project schedules, budgets, and contribute to proposal preparation.
- Attend site visits for field evaluations and assist with project coordination.
- Support designs related to roadways, utilities, grading, erosion control, and stormwater management.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 - 2 years of professional experience in civil site design or land development
- Proficient in AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
Nice-to-Haves:
- EIT or FE certification
