What You’ll Do
As a Civil Engineer at IFS, you'll be a key player in delivering a variety of exciting and challenging civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design & Planning: Lead the design of site layouts, grading, drainage, utility systems, erosion control, and stormwater management using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Project Leadership: Manage projects from start to finish, including budget and schedule management, client communications, and project documentation.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with a multidisciplinary team to refine designs based on stakeholder feedback and ensure project success.
- Site Engagement: Conduct site visits to assess real-world conditions and ensure that designs align with project goals.
- Mentoring: Guide and support junior engineers, while also helping to grow the business through proposal development and client engagement.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5–10 years of professional experience in civil site design or land development
- Expertise in designing site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion control from concept to completion
- Strong skills in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
Nice-to-Haves:
- P.E. License (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with federal clients or large-scale public infrastructure projects
