Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Title Examiner to join our production team. This onsite role is responsible for providing comprehensive nationwide title services, supporting complex real estate transactions by meticulously searching public records and examining property titles. You will play a critical role in determining the legal condition of property titles for our branch offices and member teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance in every transaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Title Examination: Search and examine public records, including mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and plat and lot files to determine legal ownership and property condition.
• Report Production: Prepare and review title commitments, supplemental reports, and updated commitments ("date downs") for accuracy.
• Document Analysis: Review complex entity documents and legal descriptions to ensure all necessary requirements for title insurance are met.
• Compliance & Recording: Verify that all documents are properly recorded and meet state-specific and company-wide underwriting standards.
• Collaboration: Act as a technical resource for title assistants, escrow officers, and branch members to resolve complex title issues or "clouds" on title.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in the title industry, with a strong preference for candidates with commercial title experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to review and interpret title commitments, entity documents, and supplemental reports.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong expertise in analyzing chain of title and identifying potential legal or financial risks.
• Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy in reviewing recorded documents and legal descriptions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Software Expertise: Familiarity with AIM (Stewart Title program) is highly preferred.
• Research Tools: Proficiency in using industry-standard research platforms such as Data Trace and Data Tree.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with nationwide title practices and commercial real estate standards.
