Job Title: Project Engineer (Engineer IV)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404 (100% Onsite)
Duration: Initial 3 Months (High potential for extension up to 12 months and possible conversion)

Job Description:
- Responsible for engineering and project administration activities related to specific circuit breaker product families.
- Perform engineering analysis, including thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural, using experience applying basic engineering principles.
- Ensure compliance with specific ratings, product specifications, and standards requirements (UL, CSA).
- Participate in cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and procurement functions.
- Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line production
- Support design activities, such as brainstorming, database management and development, design/peer reviews, and general analysis, including tolerance analysis, using experience with basic machine design.
- Ensure products meet requirements for Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Assist in root cause analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes
- Develop and execute component and/or product validation test plans along with acceptance criteria.
- Direct tasks of mechanical designers, technicians, and other resources.
- Analyze safety risks and develop mitigation plans using FMEA and FTA techniques
- Contribute to development of user documentation such as instruction bulletins, safety labels, and product markings.
Requirement:
- Engineering projects to support Miniature Circuit Breakers portfolio.
- Lead product changes such as new material selection, production line transfers, change of suppliers for different component’s categories as sheet metal, molded plastics, packaging, stamped parts.
- Conduct mechanical / electric performance test plans for verification and validation purposes per design guidelines, codes, and standards.
