- HS Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain discipline (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Logistics experience
- Previous MRP experience, SAP experience preferred
- ERP / MRP Working Knowledge: Utilize Master Data fields, physical inventory checks and canned data warehouse reports to monitor, resolve, and report timeliness and accuracy performance of the ERP transactions of each facility.
- Data reporting and analyses: Utilize the business’ data warehouse and canned report queries along with Excel, to generate, analyze, communicate, and visualize data trends and data accuracy improvement opportunities.
- Strong initiative and ability to work with little oversight

Logistics responsibilities – 70%
- Perform the daily, weekly, and monthly transactions detailed in the Logistics Planning Specialist role. The intent/objective of the transactions are to maintain/ensure accurate inventories and costs routinely throughout each period.
- On an on-going basis, support the Plant Accountant in performing/complying with required inventory and cost verification initiatives:
- Annual Stock Take Observations (STOs) and corporate audits.
- Participate in and deliver Focal Point responsibilities for Inventory Record Accuracy projects, as appropriate/defined for the facility.
- On an on-going basis, support the Site Logistics Coordinator, Production Scheduler, Plant Process Engineer, and Logistics Leader to maintain and verify the accuracy of BOMs, routings, buffer stock, production confirmations, pipeline transfers, goods receipts, production variances, slow moving inventory (SMI), etc.
- Provide facility leadership and ERP system support for the timely and accurate transactions and resolutions to blocked/quarantined inventory, production order/period order confirmation of non-normal production, non-normal material movements, and off-spec/scrap inventory.
- Provide monthly reports/metrics on inventory and cost accuracy to the plant operations and supply chain contacts.
- Initiate and lead the inventory discrepancy Root Cause Investigations as defined by the Produce to Plan/Record Production Data Business Rules. Resolve the discrepancies and prevent recurrence.
- Reconcile batch failures and ensure that production orders are closed in SAP; Review and troubleshoot data errors.
- Railcar coordinator duties include, railcar switch orders in a cost effective manner, perform daily Monomer consumption calculations in order to accurately order inbound railcars as needed, reducing demurrage & Hazardous Storage fees.
- Perform duties for Site Logistics Coordinator when active personnel are absent.
Office-related responsibilities – 25%
- AIMS SharePoint Administrator / Document Control Coordinator, support & maintain Alsip’s ISO9001 Certification and OSHA - Process Safety Management compliance.
- Responsible for Alsip’s local file system hierarchy standards and guidelines, monitor local file system size, number of files, and ensures proper user file system usage, ensure that document & record retention, and document review frequencies requirements are met.
- Oversee local purchasing, monitor regular & blanket purchase orders,
Other responsibilities: 5%
- Completes all assigned action items tracked in IMPACT system
- Supports all AIMS initiatives
- Comply with the HSEQ Policy.
- Comply with Regulations, Legal and Internal Requirements as made known by the site and by the business unit (BU).
- Comply with the rules of the specific location to which one is assigned as well as the rules set by the business unit (BU) and Arkema Inc.
- Comply with all standard procedures and work instructions, aka SP, SOP, PWI, TM, to ensure productivity, quality assurance and cost effectiveness.
- Review their work areas for potential losses and Report hazards to the direct supervisor.
- Report Near Misses to the direct supervisor.
- Report Incidents or Accidents to the direct supervisor.
- Identify and communicate potential gains or possible improvements to the management system.
- Participate in HSEQ activities provided by the site management, Arkema Coating Resins and Arkema, Inc.
- Ensures workplace safety by conducting safety observations and reviews while adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
