Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing test fixtures and equipment in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with Test Engineers to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing test fixtures and test equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
- Ensure all test equipment remains operational, calibrated, and production-ready.
- Collaborate with Test Engineers to resolve equipment issues and improve system performance.
- Complete assigned maintenance tasks accurately and within established timelines.
- Perform workflow scheduling and administrative tasks as needed.
- Follow quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
- Work occasional overtime and weekends as required to support production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Technical Trade School Certificate, Military Technical Training, or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent hands-on experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Manufacturing Test Technician, Electronics Technician, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing test equipment and fixtures.
- Hands-on experience using:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital Volt Meters (DVM)
- Multimeters
- Knowledge of basic electronic circuits, soldering techniques, and electronic assembly repair.
- Experience using hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing 480V high-voltage testing.
- Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing or production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, push, and pull as part of daily job duties.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs when required.
- Must have good color vision to identify color-coded wiring and cables.
