Position Summary:
The Project Manager will work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to define, develop, and implement project management methods, procedures, and best practices. This role ensures that all procedures are applied effectively across projects while maintaining quality, financial, and schedule targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the PMO to define methods, procedures, and best practices and ensure compliance across projects.
- Develop project scope in partnership with technical and sales teams, defining responsibilities and all other stakeholders. Utilize standard Project Management tools to manage projects efficiently.
- Identify and secure resources to meet project objectives. Work with functional leaders to create the project organizational resource chart and a RACI matrix to clarify roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinate across order management, production, logistics, contractors, services, and warranty groups. Escalate conflicts to prevent customer impact and balance large project demands with ongoing business operations.
- Partner with the Site Manager (SM) to communicate schedule, budget, and scope, and periodically visit sites to build relationships with contractors, customers, and key personnel.
- Evaluate alternative delivery methods to improve project outcomes and establish clear processes between functional areas.
- Escalate issues promptly to ensure timely resolution, monitor team schedules, and coordinate activities along the critical path. Conduct effective meetings and presentations with stakeholders.
- Implement project tracking, reporting, and KPIs to monitor quality, schedule, and cost. Maintain meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Promote a culture of safety across all projects, hosting periodic safety meetings to prioritize safety at every stage.
- 3-5 years of project management experience; critical infrastructure experience (UPS, thermal, battery, monitoring) is a plus
- Knowledge of construction, electrical, and mechanical contracting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and project management skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes, data center infrastructure, and commissioning processes
