Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Associate to join the Sample Management team within the Discovery Sciences & Technologies (DST) department. This role is critical to enabling rapid and reliable access to molecules that accelerate Client’s drug discovery efforts. The successful candidate will play a role in managing small molecule and biologics inventories and optimizing workflows. This position is based at our state-of-the-art Research facility in Foster City, CA.
Essential Functions
- Lead and execute sample management workflows including sample check-in, storage, retrieval, aliquoting, plate normalization, and shipping.
- Oversee biologics inventory including antibodies, proteins, bio-conjugates, libraries, plasmids, and cells.
- Operate and troubleshoot automation systems, liquid handlers, and analytical instrumentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D teams, CROs, and external partners to support hit-to-lead and profiling efforts.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and documentation using electronic lab notebooks and LIMS.
- Contribute to process improvements and protocol development to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline.
- 4 years of relevant industry experience in sample management, sterile technique and compound logistics.
- Advanced proficiency with liquid handling systems (Echo, Bravo, Biomek, i7, etc.) and inventory management tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience with automation troubleshooting and workflow optimization is highly desirable.
Salary : $48 - $49
