HR Generalist (Bilingual Spanish & Union Experience)
Location: Northern New Jersey (100% Onsite) Type: Full-time
About the Role
We have partnered with a growing organization in the Northern New Jersey area to find a dedicated HR Generalist. Operating in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this role is designed for an HR professional who excels at supporting employees while maintaining high standards for compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination. Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries and assist in resolving workplace issues within a union manufacturing environment.
- Benefits & Payroll: Administer employee benefit programs, act as a liaison with providers, and assist with weekly/semimonthly payroll cycles.
- Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations.
- Development: Support performance management processes, coordinate training sessions, and assist with employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: 2–4 years of HR Generalist experience, specifically including union manufacturing and multi-functional support (recruiting, benefits, and payroll).
- Language: Must be fully bilingual in Spanish.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, BambooHR, or Paylocity).
- Certification: PHR or SHRM-CP certification is strongly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with total discretion.
