Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and keep our equipment, production systems and facilities running at peak performance.
In this role you’ll work in the office for planning and leadership while remaining hands-on on the production floor to perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repairs. Travel between production facilities will be required for the initial training period.
Key Responsibilities
- Work both in-office planning, scheduling, and reporting and on the floor directing and performing repairs and diagnostics.
- Plan, implement, and continuously improve the plant’s preventive maintenance (PM) program.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure strict compliance with LOTO and all other safety standards; promote a culture of safety throughout the team.
- Perform routine tasks such as machine setup, cleaning, lubrication, and start-up/shut-down procedures.
- Program and troubleshoot a variety of PLC systems; work confidently with AC/DC electrical controls, 3-phase.
- Maintain and repair facility systems including HVAC, air compressors, and cranes.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate outside vendors for specialized service or repairs.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency using the latest technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade certification preferred).
- Experience:
- Proven background supervising a maintenance team in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with electrical, pneumatic, and electronic controls.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, 3-phase power, hydraulics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Comfortable splitting time between office planning and on-floor, hands-on work.
- Willing and able to travel between Fairfield and Troy, Ohio as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and similar equipment.
