The Quality Assurance Supervisor of Compliance is responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance functions spanning documentation, production processes, and interdepartmental collaboration adhere to established company standards and industry best practices. This role serves as a key compliance liaison between departments and leadership, helping maintain operational integrity and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document control, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance, with the confidence to represent quality assurance matters to clients and external auditors when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and enforce adherence to QA/QC policies and procedures across all departments.
- Monitor and maintain control of quality documentation (SOPs, inspection records, forms, revisions, etc.) to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
- Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance with internal procedures and external regulations (e.g., ISO, TDLR, customer-specific standards).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure proper implementation of quality requirements on the floor.
- Assist in developing, updating, and training staff on quality control plans, inspection criteria, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for client quality inquiries, walk-downs, or audits when the Quality Manager is unavailable.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (RCA/CAPA) processes related to non-conformances.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers and third-party testing labs as needed for compliance verification.
- Generate reports and data analysis for compliance tracking, audit readiness, and management reviews.
- Mentor and support QA inspectors and quality team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in quality assurance, including 2 years in a supervisory or compliance-focused role.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing environments, modular construction preferred.
- Experience in document control and ISO 9001-based quality systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interface professionally with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with QA software/document management systems is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
