Medical Assistant -School Setting
Location: Vallejo, CA
Pay: $25–$27 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, school-day hours
Setting: K–12 School Environment
Position Overview
InSync Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a school-based healthcare program in Vallejo, California.
The Medical Assistant will assist with a school clinic and vaccine inventory management. This position will not administer vaccines. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a school environment and is comfortable maintaining accurate vaccine inventory records, monitoring supplies, and supporting healthcare documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the school health office
- Maintain and organize vaccine inventory records
- Monitor vaccine supply levels, expiration dates, and storage documentation
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting
- Maintain accurate student health and administrative records
- Support nurses and other school healthcare professionals as directed
- Communicate professionally with school staff, students, families, and healthcare personnel
- Follow school district policies, confidentiality requirements, and established healthcare procedures
- Assist with general Medical Assistant and health office duties as assigned
Please note: This position does not involve administering vaccines.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma, certificate, or equivalent training
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
- Previous vaccine inventory management experience
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to manage confidential student and health-related information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to complete all required school district background and health clearances
Compensation
- $25–$27 per hour
- Final pay rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and assignment requirements
