EHS Manager (Manufacturing Environment)

A growing, multi-site manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to build and lead its safety program across operations.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can establish structure where little currently exists. This is not a maintenance role, here you'll be developing standards, driving accountability, and influencing a culture of safety at all levels of the organization.

The EHS Manager will partner closely with plant leadership and oversee an Environmental Engineer, ensuring compliance while elevating overall safety performance. There is strong visibility and potential to grow into a broader corporate leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and implement a comprehensive EHS program across multiple manufacturing sites
• Establish policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance (local, state, and federal)
• Drive a proactive safety culture beyond “see something, say something” into measurable accountability
• Conduct site audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions
• Analyze safety metrics and trends to prioritize risk and resource allocation
• Lead safety training programs and ensure consistency and effectiveness across teams
• Partner with operations leadership to influence safe behaviors and operational improvements
• Oversee environmental compliance in partnership with internal subject matter expertise

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in EHS within manufacturing or industrial environments (multi-site exposure preferred)
• Proven ability to build or significantly enhance a safety program—not just maintain one
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence change and gain buy-in across all levels
• Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset with strong problem-solving ability
