Loan Collector II

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Assist the Collector in all loans collections activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collections

• Review daily reports for delinquencies and high balances aged less than 60 days for all consumer and visa loans.
• Make all written and telephone contacts necessary for collections on high balance or delinquent accounts and add notes to member accounts.*Coordinate collection activities with the collection team.
• Provide member services relating to loan payment inquiries.
• Troubleshoot member loan histories to help solve problems.
• Record collections activities in member files and keep a one-year file of delinquency reports with actions taken.
• Weekly meetings with collection team to discuss delinquency status, problem loans, and collection plans of action.
• Bi-weekly meetings with CEO and collection team for updates on collection efforts on delinquent loans assigned.
• Provide back up and support for collection team.

Other Duties

• Assist member services with telephone calls and lobby assistance as needed.
• Provide back-up coverage on the teller line as needed, including rotating Saturdays at the Branch office
• Other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
