Field Dock and Door Installation Technician

Position Summary

Installall is seeking a motivated and dependable Field Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will travel to customer locations to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain loading dock equipment, dock levelers, overhead doors, and related systems. We are looking for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in delivering quality service to our customers.

Most work is performed throughout Northeast Ohio, with occasional travel to surrounding areas that may require overnight stays.

Compensation & Benefits

· $20.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Work Schedule

· Typical work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM

· Employees report to our shop each morning and travel to customer locations in a company vehicle

· Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on customer needs and project schedules

· Occasional overnight travel may be required for projects outside the Northeast Ohio service area

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Install loading dock equipment, dock levelers, and overhead doors

· Install and troubleshoot electrical components and systems

· Read electrical voltages and diagnose electrical issues

· Troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic components

· Safely operate extension ladders, scissor lifts, and various power tools

· Work independently or as part of a small team

· Travel to customer locations to perform installations and service work

· Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times

Preferred Skills & Competencies

· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities

· Construction experience is a plus

· Basic math skills

· Electrical experience is a plus

· Welding experience is a plus

· Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and technologies

Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding position that requires:

· Standing, walking, stooping, bending, and kneeling throughout the workday

· Lifting and carrying more than 50 pounds

· Remaining on your feet for the duration of a shift

· Working in wet, humid, hot, or cold environmental conditions

· Working both indoors and outdoors depending on the job site

Qualifications & Requirements

· Experience in mechanical, welding, electrical, construction, or related trades

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

· Ability to pass a background check

· Ability to pass a DOT physical examination

· Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependable attendance
