What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jazz Dance Instructor and Choreographer (Multiple Levels) position at Inspire Dance Company LLC?
Inspire Dance Company is seeking an energetic and experienced jazz instructor who can bring authentic style, musicality, and positive mentorship to our dancers. We value instructors who know how to create a fun, safe space while pushing dancers to grow technically, artistically, and personally.
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience teaching jazz to multiple age groups and levels, and can adapt choreography and instruction accordingly.
- Prioritizes injury prevention and safe movement practices.
- Cares about the whole dancer—not just their movement, but their confidence, mindset, and well-being.
- Communicates clearly, checks and responds to emails promptly, and takes direction from the studio director with professionalism.
- Can choreograph age-appropriate and engaging routines for recitals potential to grow with the studio and choreograph for competition team in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience teaching jazz classes in a studio setting
- Availability for weekday evenings and/or weekends
