What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Data Scientist position at Inspire Brands?
The Lead Data Scientist is recognized as an expert within the company; progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements. Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on Inspire Brands’ business. Makes decisions within general functional, company, and industry guidelines. Participates in the development of business strategy and develops and manages plans to achieve objectives.
*The Position is required onsite 4 days per week, typically Monday -Thursday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead data scientist across COE/Business
Lead the analytical strategy that creates significant industry impact.
Manage and leads program of solutions that generate significant Inspire Brands revenue.
Architect of multiple innovative solution components leveraging business and technical expertise
Lead data scientists across multiple technical domains
Design code and solutions that improves productivity of Inspire Brands
Contribute to evaluation of external data sources, provide due diligence recommendations.
Evaluate the technical work of highly experienced data scientists guiding them on deliverable quality and accuracy.
Communicate results to c-level management and external stakeholders, able to communicate the impact of the work.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
MINIMUM requirement options:
Master’s degree in a STEM field with 4 years of relevant work experience OR
PhD in a STEM field with 3 years of relevant work experience
PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of relevant work experience.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Must demonstrate ability to work independently and proactively on large and complicated advanced analytics projects. Is capable of mentoring and leading training sessions.
Must be proficient in at least 3 of the 6 tools: Spark, Python, R, SQL, Git Version Control, AWS/Azure/GCP
