Position Overview

HCCA is seeking a passionate and certified Virtual Computer Science Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching in a virtual environment and dedicated to helping students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills in computer science.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in computer science to high school students in a virtual classroom.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet Indiana state standards and support diverse learning styles.
• Provide timely feedback, assess student progress, and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive online learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Indiana teaching license with Computer Science endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with technology and virtual learning platforms.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and PowerSchool.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS).
