Senior Implementation Engineer – Hybrid

We are expanding our team with an experienced Implementation Engineer to handle field installation and support for network servers, SANs, data and voice infrastructure, virtualization, and security solutions. You'll configure and monitor security systems in our Network Operations Center, provide remote support, and deploy virtual servers within our cloud services (IaaS). You will also assist with solution design, project management, and participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.

You should possess strong troubleshooting skills, experience with LAN/WAN/security systems, and expertise in Microsoft Server and Desktop platforms, as well as VMware virtualization. Effective communication with clients and team members is essential. This role is based at our headquarters in Cedar Knolls, NJ, with travel to client sites in the New Jersey/New York metro area (using a company car) and remote work flexibility. To be successful, you should have:

• 5 years of MSP support experience with expertise in Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS).
• Extensive hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Azure virtualization, and cloud-based platforms.
• Proficient in networking, including installation, configuration, and support of firewalls, switches, and access points.
• Experience managing MS 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) and MS365 Endpoint Management (MDM, Intune).
• MCSA or Microsoft 365 Associate certification, strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Our client prefers that top candidates have:

• Experience with administering and supporting EMC Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Microsoft MCSE or advanced M365/Azure certifications strongly preferred.
• Security certification preferred.
• Experience with Cisco DUO and ConnectWise.
• Familiarity with SonicWall Firewalls & SMAs, and VMware VCP/VCAP certifications.

What you’ll do as the Senior Implementation Engineer:

• Provide Level 3 support for complex issues escalated by the help desk and junior engineers.
• Implement, deploy, and manage cloud-based services (Azure, MS365) and network solutions.
• Plan and oversee disaster recovery, backup solutions, and system security protocols.
• Provide remote and on-site support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and other related components.
• Collaborate on complex projects, offering design, implementation support, and mentoring junior engineers.
