To succeed as the Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of lending or loan servicing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- 7-10 years of experience working for a credit union or bank.
- Solid knowledge of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan servicing practices, with familiarity in core banking or servicing platforms.
- Solid communication, analytical, and workflow management skills, with a proven ability to enhance operational efficiency or adopt new technologies.
- High attention to detail with a solid commitment to compliance and the ability to manage both in-person and remote staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong strategic planning or change management experience.
Your responsibilities as an Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations, will include:
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sound cash controls.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Loan Servicing team while maintaining strong coverage, accountability, and workflow management.
- Oversee all consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan servicing functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Strengthen internal controls; partner with Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams; and ensure readiness for examinations and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across departments on system upgrades, technology initiatives, and projects that enhance loan operations and the overall member experience.
- Analyze servicing data, prepare performance reporting for leadership, and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
