Duties
- Supervise and manage concrete crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to guide team activities and ensure accuracy
- Coordinate construction schedules to meet deadlines
- Oversee quality control processes, including reviewing construction drawings and inspecting work for adherence to standards
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including heavy machinery
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for all team members
- Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, and contract management to optimize project delivery
- Review and interpret technical documents such as contracts, ProCore reports, Bluebeam files, Prolog logs, and Pipeline data for project accuracy
- Lead team meetings to communicate daily goals, safety protocols, and project updates effectively
- Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless workflow across the construction site
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial concrete construction management with a strong background in supervising teams on-site
- Extensive knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols
- Skilled in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting complex construction plans accurately
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement processes within large-scale projects
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures related to concrete work and general construction practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity
- Excellent communication skills for managing crew members, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders confidently
