Responsibilities
- Able to pass a background check and get on government bases
- Assist in the preparation and placement of concrete
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and edging to achieve specified surface textures and finishes.
- Install rebar and metal mesh according to blueprints and schematics to reinforce concrete structures.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to carry out tasks related to concrete forming, framing, and restoration.
- Support in the installation of formwork for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Conduct site clean-up, heavy lifting, and material handling to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience with familiarity in concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools including mixers, power saws, trowels, and other hand tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to concrete projects.
- Experience with rebar installation, form building, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites; ability to operate heavy equipment when required.
