We are seeking a motivated and skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher/Concrete Former to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute concrete forming and finishing accurately.
- Construct formwork using carpentry skills, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and adherence to specifications.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprint specifications for structural integrity.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently for pouring, cutting, and finishing concrete surfaces.
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, smoothing, and texturing to achieve desired surface quality and appearance.
- Conduct concrete cutting and demolition as needed during renovation or repair projects.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete forming and finishing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in concrete work.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing methods.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and heavy equipment operation relevant to concrete work.
- Understanding of construction estimating processes related to material needs and project timelines is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence in accordance with construction workplace safety regulations.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, masonry techniques, plastering, flooring installation, and concrete pumping systems.
