Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Concrete Former/Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, shaping, and finishing concrete structures with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete forming and finishing tasks.
• Construct formwork using carpentry skills, including cutting, assembling, and installing form panels according to specifications.
• Install rebar reinforcement in concrete forms to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently for pouring, cutting, and finishing concrete surfaces.
• Perform concrete pouring, screeding, troweling, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces that meet project specifications.
• Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members.
• Collaborate with other trades such as masonry, plumbing, or electrical teams during renovation or new construction projects.
• Accurately estimate material needs using construction estimating skills and interpret blueprints to ensure proper resource allocation.
• Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces for smoothness, levelness, and adherence to blueprint specifications.
• Assist in the operation of concrete pumping equipment and perform concrete cutting as needed for project completion.

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete forming and finishing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting detailed blueprints or technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing processes such as plastering or flooring installation.
• Understanding of construction site safety regulations and the ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.
• Background in masonry or carpentry is highly desirable for effective formwork construction and renovation work.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during complex tasks like concrete cutting or placement.
