The Junior Research Analyst will support the Research and Investment Strategy teams by conducting fundamental and market-driven analysis across asset classes, with a primary focus on equities and fixed income.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a strong understanding of global financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and current events, and assess their impact on asset classes, sectors, and securities.
- Prepare and assist in the development of reports on single-name equities and/or corporate debt securities.
- Conduct research and analysis on companies, industries, and sectors from both a fixed income and equity perspective.
- Collaborate with Investment Strategists to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities for the firm.
- Participate in the preparation and development of research reports produced by the Research team.
- Clearly and effectively communicate research findings and the team’s investment views to internal stakeholders across the firm.
- Support the translation of technical analysis into actionable insights for broader audiences.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field with strong quantitative and analytical focus.
- Solid understanding of capital markets, including equities and fixed income products.
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint required).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- SIE and/or Series 7 licenses are a plus.
