We are seeking an experienced Vendor & IT Contracts Manager to build and lead a centralized IT contracts and vendor management function. This individual will partner closely with IT leadership to organize, negotiate, and manage enterprise technology agreements, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and alignment with business objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑ownership, build‑from‑scratch environment and enjoys working cross‑functionally with IT, legal, procurement, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Stand up and lead a centralized IT vendor and contracts management function
- Discover, gather, and organize IT/IS contracts into a single, centralized repository
- Own the full contract lifecycle, including renewals, terminations, amendments, and compliance tracking
- Lead commercial negotiations with enterprise technology vendors on pricing, terms, and renewals
- Manage relationships with major IT vendors (e.g., Microsoft, SAP, Workday, and similar)
- Partner closely with IT leaders and the CIO to ensure contracts align with technology strategy and business objectives
- Proactively manage renewal timelines and termination rights to avoid risk and unplanned spend
- Oversee and manage external contract review and legal firms for large‑scale or complex contract reviews
- Ensure contracts align with IT governance, compliance requirements, and internal policies
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in indirect procurement, specifically within IT, technology, or software
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience
- Hands‑on experience working with enterprise IT vendors (e.g., Microsoft, SAP, Workday)
- Demonstrated experience centralizing and managing IT contracts across multiple teams or business units
- Experience hiring, managing, or partnering with external contract review or legal firms
- Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and risk management processes
- Ability to work on‑site and collaborate closely with local and distributed stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or scaling a contracts or vendor management function
- Background in enterprise, manufacturing, or technology‑driven environments
- Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools
