Underwriting Assistant

Insight Global is currently hiring an Underwriting Assistant for a large client in the Austin, TX area. The primary responsibility is to support the Underwriter’s by maintaining accurate and up to date underwriting files, and preparing various Surety Documents and reports to facilitate the Underwriters decision making process. Underwriting Assistants are expected to help develop and maintain successful relationships with clients and personnel in other departments within the Company, by providing excellent service, resolving issues, and developing rapport. This includes direct support to company-wide Underwriters and Branch Underwriting Assistants, invoice bonds, maintain and set up bond files in internal system, closing bond files, and pulling credit reports as necessary. This position requires a person with great attention to detail, the ability to complete tasks and assignments in a high-volume work environment. This will be a 6 month contract to hire position and could lead to several growth opportunities. This person must be open to going onsite Monday through Friday.

Must Haves:

• High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree is a plus)
• 2 years of Administrative experience, preferably Accounting/Banking/Financial experience
• Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
